Program Gives Students With Intellectual Disabilities College Experience on UA’s Campus


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Students with intellectual disabilities are getting the chance to experience what it is like to be a college student. It is part of the University of Alabama’s CrossingPoints’ Summer Bridge Program.

Ten students from across the southeast are calling Lakeside East on UA’s campus, home, for the next couple of months. They are taking part in a unique, summer-long, college transition program.
