How can I volunteer?

Please visit out Volunteer page for more information about volunteering with CrossingPoints.

Where do student volunteers park?

Students can NOT park in front of the Barnes Building. It is much like the rest of campus, where faculty/staff parking is out front and student parking is away. There is some student parking in areas surrounding us such as the perimeter parking lots, but you will have to explore the UA website and parking maps to see what parking you can use with your tag.

Additionally, the silver bus services the Tom Barnes Education Center. The silver bus picks up in front of the Bus/Transit Hub.  It is a newer version of the UA buses you use for other routes (Blue, Green, etc.) and has “Silver” on the front of the bus.  You will need to look and watch for the Silver bus – it will not come to you. If you wait for an extended amount of time (20+ minutes) go into the Bus Hub to Transportation Services and ask for the silver bus to take you to the Barnes Building. The silver bus runs continuously from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm between the Bus/Transit Hub and the Barnes building.  The driver will sit at Barnes for approximately 10 minutes then go back to the Bus/Transit Hub.  The driver will sit at the Bus/Transit Hub for approximately 10 minutes before going back to Barnes. Remember, you can always ask the workers at the Bus Hub, they have always been helpful directing students toward the apartment shuttles and other buses.
