DR. JOHN MYRICK

Affiliate Instructor 

Dr. Myrick became a part of the CrossingPoints staff in 2008. In the past, John served as a graduate assistant and volunteer for the program. Dr. Myrick returned to school to earn a Master’s of Arts Degree in Special Education and an EdD in Special Education at The University of Alabama. Now he teaches for the Special Education and Multiple Abilities Department at UA but stays highly involved in CrossingPoints as an affiliate instructor. 

​Working with the students of CrossingPoints has taught me the importance of compassion. When someone smiles and shows appreciation for the opportunities that they have humbles me causing me to rethink how I respond to what life has to offer.
